Thursday, 3^rd.

Weather mixed; assembled rustic fence.  Arrival of Glass fabric from Boathouse

More Castor, More decking.  Big chat with Wanda about the music for Sunday.

Friday, 4^th

 

Big (final?) push on Castor.    Lots of making good; Glassed inside.  Down to Yves and Lucy across the road to check that using the canoe rack will be OK – it will. They’re just back from a salmon (fly-) fishing trip.  Water too high and too warm, but a lovely trip just the same.

B and M and boys arrive in Toronto!

Made big aubergine curry for Keith and Margaret Ann (Keith's in hospital and they have family coming to stay).  Late finish. 

 

Saturday, 5th

Decks and Thwart fitted. 

 

Down to cabin to commission it – the fire starts brilliantly every time.  Pretty good condition; water OK, loo cleans up OK, Taps run, Bathroom sink overflow ruptured.


 To BMR for a frantic shopping, lovely chat (in English) with Francois – his wife’s from Swindon!; then on to Peter and Greg’s for a wonderfully calm, lakeside chat and supper

A beaver swam across the head of the lake....
