Good start today, in to the village after a number of chores (NOT including the fire. It is mis-behaving and probably needs the chimney sweeping - a job for next time!). Posted cards to a couple of folk and chatted to the gentleman at the post office.
It's warmer again today - plus 3. But the forecast for tomorrow is freezing rain, followed by snow, which will make driving difficult or dangerous. So we had a quick trip to the "plantation" to prune a couple of little firs, just in case we happen to spend Christmas here in December.....
It seems a harsh thing to do, poor little things, but it should make them much bushier by the end of the year.
We also paced out the ground for the new deck come the spring.
And we finished with a little wander around the ski trail in the meadow.
Which left us free to drive into St Jovite to tax the car, to buy a few, small gifts, and to visit Rona, whence we came away with a key-rack which we didn't know we wanted, and without any curtains, which we did!
Quiet supper, quiet evening. Leaving this lovely place draws ever closer; Oh dear....
