Snow-Sports!

So; Friday was a busy day, not least in making a call at our local airport to meet the flight from Toronto, bringing Guy and Julie and Lila to spend the weekend!

Our local airport used to be a ASU / Canadian missile base in the cold war....  Nowadays it's a really pretty log cabin arrivals and departure lounge!

How things change.

So; having scooped them up, we came home to a cozy house and huuuuge plate of nachos and the odd beer!

Lila slept fairly late and we straggled to a lateish start to the great outdoors!

Only she wasn't having any of it; Lila doesn't really like toboggans - but we had a bit more success in the afternoon!

We also perambulated round and round the meadow on cross-country skis and snow-shoes by preference!  And some of us dusted off old skis and hurtled down the slope behind the house!  Usually with a great deal more success than this early effort......

Ali tobogganed :-)

I have been moving a door-frame around and nipped in to the village late in the day for finishing nails;  on the way back I saw these guys ice-fishing on Lac Noir...

Like fishing the world over; really just an excuse to be out of the house and have a few beers ....

Nothing wrong  in that!
