....pick up sticks! Which is what Ali's been doing, all around the house!
And we have a lot of sticks. We are due one big bonfire soon.
Monday, 28th September, Ali gave me all day to myself in the basement working on the cedar-canvas canoe. Which is exactly what I needed. Those two ribs that had been tantalising me all summer; that I repaired at great labour? Gone! Replaced!
And Ali made a brilliant COP pie! Yum.
Tuesday, 29th September. Work on Ali's birthday present........ And a siesta in the afternoon. Well; what are holiday's for (and it was raining anyway!) More boat-work in the evening - sea-food pizza for tea (a bit of a cop-out rather than a COP pie (groan!).
Today, Wednesday, 30th September. Big push on Ali's birthday present...... even bigger push on the C-C canoe! MUCH sawdust on the basement floor! Abrasive email from a parishioner "back home", following up on my leader for the Parish Mag this month. Un-identified bird on the meadow. Pictures tomorrow (of the bird, not the offensive parishioner) - it's (very) late!
Happy October, folks.
