To church in Arundel; lovely welcome and farewell as always. To Wanda's for soup and toasted cheese sandwich and home to start packing; but early enough to drain the water from the Cabin and to lock up the barn.
Packing!
Monday, 3rd October. The big pack and tidy; and I varnished a flaw in the floor - just the kind of job you want to do whilst you're trying to get away! But we left by about 15.00 - nice house, eh?
In to the village to pay the rates and say au revoir in the post office. Nice people - "Home" in a way!
Down to St Jovite to wash the car - can't have a dirty car at Denis' :-)
The colours have really begun - and we didn't miss them all.
Denis had contacted the agent of the Garage Owner where we're going to leave the van for the winter! So we tucked it away and were given a key (which worked) and a copy Karen had commissioned (which didn't). Ho hum.Up to St Sauveur for Supper at Papa Luigi's, which was tasty but too much - and we all had tummy aches later :-(
Tuesday, 4th October.
Very late up for a delicious brunch by Karen and then to the post office to post Guy's parcel and to the key-cutter's for another try at the key. Which is when we discovered that the copies we had, although the right profile, were all much slimmer than the original. So we took a Dremel and file to all of them and then headed off to the airport. Where we found my bag was far too heavy. Much re-arranging of contents - not least my Bible! - and we're good to go!
Thanks so very much Karen and Denis for your loving care for us, your fun and your very practical help! Safe winter in Arizona folks.
So, here we are in the airport; no Moe's this time, we're still full from Brunch!
A great summer; a bit hectic somehow but full of smiles and friendships.

That's all folks!

Look at those beautiful fall colours!! And it's a lovely photo of Karen and Denis, their house looks so lovely.
